Year 1
Spend your first year shadowing and assisting in all site trades via a structured program which allows you to experience all aspects of construction before deciding which trade you would like to pursue as a career.
Year 2
This is when you decide on your trade and your formal college training begins. You will attend college one day per week and spend the rest of the time working on site alongside our trade professionals.
Year 3
College continues along the same lines as year 2 but ends with a comprehensive End Point Assessment where you will have to pass both theoretical and practical tests to achieve your final college certificate.
Year 4
Your final year starts with a decision on whether you would like to pursue your advanced craft qualifications (we encourage all candidates to do this). You will then continue with your site experience and will be working more and more under your own initiative and supervision.
At the end of year 4
You will become a fully qualified member of our site team, working on exciting construction projects throughout Shropshire. Opportunities for progression include site team leaders, supervisors, managers and contracts managers as well as various technical construction back-office roles.
