Cassie

Cassie came to Shingler Group for her work experience week and tried out each area of the business.

On Monday and Tuesday, she was with Account Manager Garry and Purchase Ledger Clerk Amanda, chatting to them about their roles and helping with invoicing and filing.

Wednesday, she joined Sales and Marketing, where she helped Manager Hayley with some final amends to our Forrester’s Place Brochure and went out to our Bayston Hill development with Holly to take some marketing pictures. She ended the day joining Nina our Options Coordinator at our Boreatton Fields development in Baschurch, reviewing the choices in one of our homes.

On Thursday she accompanied our Architect’s Adam and Molly, visiting a new development in Whitchurch on an architectural site visit followed by Forrester’s Place in Higher Heath. Finally, she ended the week with our Construction and Commercial team, where she looked at choosing and ordering choices for one of our homes.

Cassie most enjoyed visiting our different homes and construction developments and is considering either joining the family business when she leaves school or going into the agricultural sector.

Nathan with Matthew Cadwallader

Nathan

Nathan accompanied Matthew Cadwallader, Quality and Aftercare Manager for his work experience week, visiting a variety of our homes and construction developments. He assisted on quality inspections, meet and greets with our new homeowners and 6 month check in appointments. He also carried out pre-plaster inspections, and Matthew showed him the fundamentals of the sequence of works of building a property. Nathan thoroughly enjoyed his time with us and registered his interest in joining as a trainee graduate in the future.

Will

Will came to us for his work experience week, inspired by his dad who works in the construction industry. Will joined our construction and commercial department working alongside our New Projects Coordinator Charlie. He carried out various tasks, including updating working drawings, taking digital window and door measurements and visiting various developments.

Will most enjoyed going out on site and found watching the construction of a property really interesting.

A big thank you to our three Work Experience students. We were so impressed by their positive work ethic and professionalism, and we wish them all the best in their upcoming exams!
